Speakers and cold weather...

Hi.

The cold temperature stiffens the spider and the surround to some extent, but unless You try to use 'em at full blast while frozen, no problems IME.

The moisture build up on un-treated paper cones does more damage, but AFAIK, every manufacturer treats their cones.

Thank you. Our gear resides in a trailer 99% of the time although the winters are not quite as severe as those in Finland. I would be more concerned about the condensation formation when re-introduced to a warm environment (venue) although I've only experienced this once with a bass enclosure.
