I have 3 Bass Head/Cab rigs (and one practice amp)

1) When your wife comes in the music room and says "look at all those speakers" (hey, two are for Guitar and one is for the keyboard). My son plays bass, guitar, and keyboards.
2) When you start using them to put things like lamps, fans, Xbox360's, etc. on them.

Are we talking your wife or my wife? .... And if it's my wife what the heck she doing and your house complaining about your speakers? ......

But to answer your question, when your back shed has speakers, that are not hooked up, in them.

I've said it before and I'm saying it again. You can never have enough cabs or amps.

if you had my system, you wouldent desire any more speakers. 20 cabs putting out mediocre/normal sound is just normal sound only louder. there would come a point where your speakers all lined up are distanced enough to notice audible delay, (15 feet?) and phase dips and peaks. it would be loud but unclear. most bass cabs really dont go deep, the specs say 50hz but then playing the bar you wonder where it is. if you think you need more speakers cuz you only hear the bass when you stand right in front of the cabinet, that means the dispersion is not good enough. more speakers cannot equal higher quality reproduction. johnny a. staind

I have 3 different Cab/Amp Rigs because I like to mix and match for different sound or for venue size or accoustics.

-My Bergantino HT115 sits in the practice room and works as one of my guitarists' amp stand for his 2x12 combo.

-My Avatar SB112 is on end and acts a a PA speaker stand.

-My Schroeder 1212 acts as a keyboard cab, with a Motionsound leslie on top of it...

See...they're all still useful!

I'll trade you a proper table for that HT115. I "need" an HT115 to use as a speaker.

I don't really want to go deep. Not everyone does. I'm fine with the quality sound of my speakers... and honestly they're definitely loud enough. I just want more because, well, sonic megalomania.

NO S. When I practice alone it's mostly with a Tascam Bass Trainer and headphones. Once my wife told me my Bass was reverberating into our bedroom keeping her awake, and it wasn't even plugged into anything.
