Speakon for older Hartke cab

I'd like to replace the 1/4 jack on a Hartke XL410 with a Speakon. Has anyone done that? Any tips, tricks or opinions appreciated!

How many wires go directly to the jack? If it only has two and the rest connect after the first speaker, you need the two wire jack and in that case, it should have a terminal marked with a 1 and the other will be marked with a 2. You should be able to measure for continuity to determine the tip and sleeve, or the jack should come with a diagram.

Get the 4 pole speakon and wire to the 1+ (wire that went to tip) and 1- (wire that went to sleeve) on the connector.
