I'm of the opinion that if you can't match something, then boldly contrast it. Close but not quite is just not right
That must have been some router bit!I just finished routing the coarse neck profile. I'll hand carve the rest.
I used the same process as for my winter build. The pictures below are from last December.That must have been some router bit!
On the Special K, I cut the 8 deg angle into the pocket; didn't want to remove that much wood from the neck.This will be the first time that I have had to angle the neck and have a couple of questions:
- Is it better to cut the angle into the bottom of the neck pocket or to put a taper on the neck heel?
- Does it matter whether I set the neck or bolt it on?
Bursts look fantastic on SGs.
