Are there any effects you can't get on a multi-effects like the Zoom B3? Something like a Whammy, but it has pitch-shifting effects. Anyways, I know it's a dumb questiom but I was just wondering.

I think it could even do a whammy with ptich shift and an expression pedal.
I don't think there's much that they 'cant' do, but probably more likely that there's effects they don't do 'excellently' but just 'meh.'
My experience multis, after the honeymoon wore off and I got down to unity gain, was that the MS-60B has functional, but hardly inspirational tones. A lot of times at a gig I will click it on and then click it right back off again.
That's what I was saying. I couldn't think of any others it was just context for you to understand the question. Do you know any effcts that are typically sub-par?
Most multi's can't or don't do distortion/fuzz/OD as well as individual pedals. That's the one effect where analog really seems to work best.
You can get most basic effects on a multi, usually not quite as nice as with dedicated pedals but for a lot of uses and users still good enough. Then you have builders that make unique effects or effects with twists that a multi can't reproduce; some examples are for instance Chase Bliss Audio, Old Blood Noise Endeavors, Montreal Assembly, Red Panda Lab.

A lot of EQD pedals are unique, thinking specifically the Rainbow Machine, Arpanoid, Afterneath, etc. So yes, there are some fx not found on multi's- but as already stated, it's a matter of quantity over quality that's the real issue with them.

Moog MuRF (filter modulation thing)
ZVex Ringtone (stepped ring mod)
Boss PS-3 (modes 4-6; no clue)
Most things you can replicate with one or more pedals, though. Few exceptions. (Maybe also the Digitech Space Station?)
