iceboxbass - how long did shipping take when you ordered the nut? I only ask because I ordered a replacement bridge for one of my Spector Euros three weeks ago, and I haven't heard anything from them yet...

Hey JPS - question for you:

What kind of inlays are those on the Alex Webster model? I see them listed as mother-of-pearl on a music store, site, but the Spector site just says "red crown inlays". Are they solid red, or tinted M-O-P? What are they made of?

I have not seen it in person, but from the close-up pix I've seen they appear to be pearly red inlays, most likely acrylic, with a non-glossy slightly matted surface treatment.

One exception, since you are considering a Rex bass, you probably should know it does have the front strap button on the back. I guess that would make this around-the waist strap not work, so you should consider that.

Ooof - foiled again! Guess you'll have to sit with it...

You could still use straplocks with a waist strap.

Looks like a Kramer era white USA NS-2 sold for a BIN of $500 + $20.90 for shipping.

Look closely... it has the correct gold hardware, USA bridge, crown inlays, and the "fat" truss rod cover.

It sold within 16 minutes of being posted up on Friday night.

What was I doing at 7:46pm Friday night?

I was NOT getting a amazing deal on a NS-2!

Many thanks to YNOT for helping me wrangle an even better deal. I saved over $800 vs. most places, and over $1800 vs. the "retail price" of $3999.99.
Now, then...I'll be posting my Euro5 for sale in the classifieds in a few. Beautiful maple finish w/maple wings, Aguilar OBP-1 w/EMG DC 40s, S/N NB1275, made around 2002. Not a scratch!
