Once Lee....bottom line for all of us, an item is worth how much a buyer wants to pay for it. Kramers are worth 2k right? So Jeff has it priced accordingly. The rest of the deal is between him and seller. It seems like a lot of people knew about this bass but never posted here to give anyone a heads up? However on the flip side, not everyone has a chance to bag the ILLUSIVE Kramer era NS-2 so......ally's well that ends well my friends., we all walk our own paths....

Thats me boy!!!....Difference with me is I like to hook up a brother than shaft them. And personally if I was a so called Spector artist I wouldn't have 10% of my basses Spector and the other 90% other stuff, kind of defeats the purpose. To each his own. I would put my life in a firefighters hands before some guy using a company for self profit. I am going to order a bass with my discount "Spector artist" with the sole purpose of reselling it at a profit....haha

You're kinda missing my point but I'm at work, tired and really don't have time to explain right now. Just seems odd to me that everyone starts talking about how much JF got it for once Jeff is trying to sell it. Does anyone actually know for a fact that is what he paid? Maybe the dude likes everyone to think he's the deal king.

Amazing!!! That's the bomb Joe! :D :bassist: doesn't look like a Forte now. Have you sent a picture to PJ Rubal? You should if you haven't.

Thanks bro. I posted on the Spector page on Facebook, so I'm sure he'll see it.
Regarding the Kramer, the fella selling it was honest about what he was doing, and Jeff is one of the most honest people in our little family. 100% real no BS type person.

Bottom line is I sleep very well at night. No skeletons in this closet.....there are a few shaddy guys on here. Behind your back they will tell people that you are trying to sell a bass thats messed up at the same time PM you that they want to trade for it.....If its so messed up why you want it?. Why???Because they want to screw you and get it cheap with no competition. :rollno::rollno::rollno:

Sorry Lee, I was agreeing with you, maybe my delivery was poor?

I guess my delivery was poor? All I was doing was agreeing with Lee and trying to say that whatever you paid for the bass was what you paid, whatever the original seller got it for was his deal.......it seems to me that many members knew a story about this being a "$500" bass? If that was the case, it is what it is right? Whatever the seller choose to sell the bass for is their call. If the price wasn't worth it no one would have bought it right? So in closing I meant the bass is worth 2k right? What more does anyone need to say? Jeff is selling a bass he bought from another seller and the price is within range of said bass.....it's legit

+1,000,000

And I love his New England accent. It's like "The Departed"', but about basses :D
Very excited. Going to casa de Limaguy tomorrow, today actually! Sam is going to hook up my HAZ so I can continue on to rehearsal. One of the main reasons I play Spector. The people! Not just the owners and employees, though they are fantastic, but the people who play them and are passionate about them. I have made some good friends, thanks to these exceptional instruments.

I know this has already been settled... but FWIW... Jeff is the first guy to get upset when someone tries to pull a quick one regarding charging too much for something.

And he's a very generous, good hearted person. I'll never forget what he did for Chris Loe. Jeff is passionate and very strongly opinionated, but he's honest and he's not going to try and do anyone wrong.

Oh. And you probably shouldn't make him mad. :hiding:

This blue Kramer NS-2 in question was being sold for 2K on facebook and was eventually listed on ebay for 2K and that is where Jeff saw it and purchased it from.
By the way Jeff is not on facebook.

This seller who once bragged that we wouldn’t believe how cheap he got the bass for.
And then later mentioned $500

(those posts have been deleted from the Spector Club when he decided to sell it for 2K)

This same seller also claimed last year that he purchased a Complete Hartke 4x10 & 1X15 rig for $199 and that came with a separate 1X15 Behringer.
So we either have a guy who likes to exaggerates how cheap he has purchased something for or got lucky and made a $1,500 profit.

Jeff is selling the bass for less then he paid for it just like he always does. I have never seen Jeff try to make even a penny from a re-sale.

Remember Jeff is also the same person who paid over 2K for brand new white Ian Hill and sold it to smadder for the Chris donation for a major loss.

I don’t think its cool that anyone should refer to a previous price of a bass especially when it is up for sale in the classifieds section.

Remember I am like “Rain Man” I can probably list at least 20 used Spectors that were bought and sold in the last 5 months and tell you who made and lost money on each sale.

Out of respect to Jeff I think the entire $500 quote should be removed by the mods.

I have Markbass Club121 (1x12), 28 lbs. Very light and nice sounding.

Cool, I will have to get to my local GC and check one out. I wish there was an Aguilar dealer here so I could compair them. Thanks!

Neither will I!

Absolutely, That was awesome!

Quick question about the TonePump can it be wired with a blend instead of V/V? I'm eyeing a new acquisition and I hate the V/V setup and seeing as a new 9V is out of the question and the MM114 is no longer made hopefully a simple wiring job is in order.

Yes you can do it, I posted a diagram a month or so ago with pictures. I put a TP in a NS 2000-5 with a blend and I also did a Rebop a couple of months before that.
There are two different TP's with adjusters they both work but the wiring is different, the wiring is even a different color.

What do you hate about the V/V if you don't mind me asking? I really like it because I find that I can dial in my pickup volumes to the sweet spot and get that sweet Spector tone with ease using the two vol TP.

I can tell you why; it's like you said, you get everything set right and then you decide (we all do) you want to change the volume.
Unless your super human and can turn both volume pots down the same amount (on the fly) your perfect setting is kaput.:rollno:

Had the same problem a while back, it's kind of confusing, but maybe Phat can shed some light on how to get the right one, he just dealt with someone at Hipshot and might know how to go about it.

thanks a lot for the reply, yea its frustrating because now that im lookin at the tuners, even though they are schaller tuners, the hole is at the 6 o'clock position where normal m4's are at the 9, i guess these are the newer ones?? I think i need to return to sender on ebay and get the GB7 detuner .
My Issue wasn't with the hole as, even though my Schallers are at the 6 o'clock position, I had another hole already drilled at the 9 o'clock position as the previous owner had an M4 Xtender installed at one point, so I was ready to go.

Looking at the mechanism, I don't think they would be reasonably able to make the M4 Xtender with the hole at the 6 o'clock position.

Re: $500 Kramer NS2:
FWIW, I thought that bass was white?! :hmm:
