Thanks!

I have the open hole on mine. I was just going to put a dummy knob or dummy switch to fill that hole.

In the Euro4 I bought from Jamie he had the hole filled with a silent kill switch. I've found it to be quite a handy thing to have. Just flip the switch and plop the bass into the stand and don't worry about the battery(s) being drained.

Thanks!

Yeah, I thought about this as well. Anyone happen to know what size switch will fit the hole properly?

One of our fellow Spector brothers “keeperofthelows Club Member #358” Steve Gordon is battling Stage 4 Lymphoma.
His best friend put this page together to help raise some money for him.

Please read his story and if you can donate even the smallest amount to help him.

He hasn’t been on much here lately because he no longer has internet access at home.
Steve is a great guy and it’s not a scam.

Bunkaroo met Steve in person some months back when he sold him a Spector.
So I am sure he will jump in and provide a comment.

Here is their meeting back in April

Steve is the guy who bought a Kramer era NS-2, found out it was stolen from the original owner several years earlier and returned it to him without much thought for his own personal/financial loss. I'm pretty sure he was reimbursed for the purchase, but during the whole ordeal he was a stand up guy determined to do the right thing! ...as Sam stated, he later met up with Bunk's and bought his NS-2...

I'm from the same small town as Steve (Pekin, IL), and though I've never actually met him in person, we've had several chats about life and Spectors! He is a good dude battling cancer with amazing strength and courage!

Brad you are 100% correct. He did return the bass to the original owner from the 80s and bunk was nice enough to put his kramer on hold till the financial part was worked out.

Ahh. I thought Trace was still giving numbers. I plan on donating today. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Sam.

Trace is still giving out the numbers. I think you got confused by his name and Steve is also a Trace Elliot guy and rides a motorcycle.

Thank you Sam for bringing Steve, one of our brethern, and his life threatening disease plus financial hardship to us. I will help what I can do financially and prayers for Steve and his beautiful daughters. What a really great guy... and all the mayhem he has dealt with in his life so far. It's the RIGHT thing to do helping out Steve.

Thoughts and prayers go out to Steve and his family!!

If at all possible, no matter how small, please try and help our Spector brother Steve and his family out in this time of need. There is no better feeling than helping out another human being in a time of need.

Okay, back to our regular Spector fun!!!!!

Looks like the amp is gone, the 4 string is on hold, and now this 5 string beauty pops on the sales list (Carlton said I'm missing a 5 in my collection on facebook today!!!)...to bad I'm still funding my new basses because these upgrades sound tempting!

The NS4CR is back on the block if anyone's interested. PM for "club" price. :bassist:
