I just found out that I'm going to be able to borrow a Mesa Boogie Bass Prodigy for rehearsal on Friday.

Part of me is saying YAY! This'll be great!

Another part of me says, uh oh... What if I really like it?

GAS is such a love/hate relationship.

We'll see.

I love mine , and yes there's plenty of headroom ;-)

I want to thank everyone for this award, I couldn't have done it without you as well as my excitement for all the new Spector basses at NAMM. I'm now off to get my hands fixed from all of the typing so I will be able to play my bass! LOL

I shared this on FB but thought I would here too. could you take a minute and say a prayer or donate $1 for my friend. His kidneys are failing and he need dialysis everyday just to stay alive. He needs some help, some encouragement and some $ if possible to help feed his family. I know we have helped family and friends before .

This guy worked the kitchen at the restaurant that gave my band a signature pizza, he has become a good friend too.

Ugh.... You are all a bunch of enablers! You know that??? Here I was minding my own business, perfectly content with my NS2 and then you guys start posting fotos from NAMM and then starting a thread on how great the dual Aguilar Jazz pups are!

I blame you all for infecting me with a real bad case of S.A.S!! So bad in fact that I made a call to PJ asking him about finding one for me. All you enablers need to know that I am soon to be the recipient of a USA bolt on neck NS2 with dual Aguilar jazz pups!!! I hope you are all happy!!!

In all seriousness, I was looking to get one anyway but thanks to the amount of talk and fotos here recently, it sped up my purchase a bit.

She is due to arrive by weeks end! You guys rock, seriously!!

My Euro 4LX is the most comfortable playing bass I have ever owned. The Tonepump never rocked my boat though. After a lot of experimentation, I think it has more to do with the EMG's , my playing style and my choice of amp, than the preamp alone. The EMG's weren't much better for me on their own either. At 9V or 18V, with or without the Tonepump, it felt like the notes would sometimes disappear or lose body when I was playing low on the neck. The Tonepump paired with with Dimarzio pickups was a better combination, but that still wasn't the tone I was looking for.

I recently put a 9V HAZ in my Euro 4LX. Now we're talking baby!!! No 'lost' or 'wimpy' sounding note issues anymore. I have used it in this configuration on a half dozen gigs now. I have wanted 'that sound' ever since I first heard it on records back in the mid 80's.

Gawd I love playing this instrument. After 25 years of playing bass, I finally have found my soulmate.

Spectors rule! But you guys already knew that eh?

This also raises a question for me that the Spector site doesn't seem to answer. What's the difference between an NS-2BO and an NS-4H2?? Is it just the pickups??
