SPECTOR® Owners Club

Hi, I've just come across the TB Spector Club! I bought a NS 94 in 1998 (the picture below is from 2002). My bass is actually 8000km from me but I'll have it back in december. Great bass for any style! I'd like to be part of the club!

Unplanned NSD today. Stopped in at a pawn shop I visit often that's on my way home from work. Saw this on the wall, in need of some TLC and a loving home and before I knew it.....it was home with me. Scored a pretty good deal, didn't steal it by any means but got it for a good price.
Got it home, oiled the board and polished it up and a quick setup and some new strings and it sounds fantastic and plays great.
Looks great beside my Euro 5 Custom too, lots of natural Spector goodness.

NSD...My third Timbre. Korg is outstanding in taking care of their customers with warranty issues. My recent Timbre's bridge was lifting up/away from the body and actually to the point of pealing a top layer of the spruce top with only 1/4" of the bridge holding on. I contacted Korg, they emailed me a return label and FedEx picked up at my home.
Two weeks later I received a brand new Timbre & gig bag, and to my BIG surprise, strung with D'Addarrio nickel wounds, not the typical horrible bronze phosphor strings! I don't know if it's the nickel round wound strings or something else but this Timbre is the loudest, very LOUD, Timbre of the 3 that I've received. Up there with acoustic 6 string volume unplugged. I'm a VERY happy & satisfied Spector customer:). I also emailed PJ Rubal, VP of Spector, to let him know of this bridge lifting issue, so he can keep on top of any & all Timbre issues.

She's a beauty. Let's hope the third time is the charm. Keep us posted how she holds up.

Glad it worked out, and hope this one holds up...

So- my church sanctuary has dimmers which make all my (and others) electronic basses buzz loudly. These include my Spector and Warwicks... thoughts?

Satan?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. Bad joke (most of mine are).

Anywho, I would check to see if the dimmers are on the same circuit as your amp. If so, see if you can plug into another outlet that is isolated from the dimmers.
