I have some very bad news...

Carey (torn bassist) collapsed at work today and is in the hospital in ICU right now. He is sedated and on a ventilator. The doctors determined that it was not a heart attack, but they also can't say what did happen. We will just have to wait and see. They intend to stop the setation tomorrow and try to bring him around. We won't know anything until then.

All we can do is pray or send good thoughts or vibes or whatever works for you. I am in contact with his girlfriend Angie and I will pass along any information that I get. I thought you all would want to know.

Thank you for letting us know, i hope he pulls out of it, i had a really great time getting to know him and Angie at the Hang. He's definitely in my thoughts, please keep me updated and let me know if theres anything i can do if he needs help.

I just got a new recording interface in today and I'm running Reaper.... any advice from my Spector brothas is much appreciated. I haven't done too much messing with it yet. The interface is an Alesis i04. I'm excited to get some demos and such recorded \m/

I too have one of those Alesis...but I haven't worked with it yet even though I've had it for about 2 years now. Looking forward to your experience with it.

I'd like to share with you a clip from one of the tracks of the new album. This track has the more "Complex" bass lines and probably took me the longest to dial the tone for and nail the take. It was a doozy indeed.
On the original track there will be a guitar solo at the end so that funky slap part gets a bit buried in the mix unfortunately. I mixed it without the solo and the bass up quite a bit

This is the Brooklyn NS-2 which is a beast tuned to drop D
Headphones somewhat essential.
