Well it's still Friday, so I though I'd post my Legend 5 Classic. I made a brass nut for it, put in a Darkglass Tone Capsule and I had Lindy Fralin make some custom split jazz pickups for it. It has a fantastic thin neck, no fret buzz and low action. I have to be honest, I have the Legend 5 Classic and a 2004-2005 Legend 4 Bubinga, and the frets are set up perfect, whereas all my custom NS-2 DW basses needed a PLEK job to get the frets right. I'd match this bass against the muliti $1000 five string basses. The Legend basses are a fantastic low end bass.

Hey guys question what wood are the NS2A basses made out of ?

If you're thinking of refinishing it i would love to see the process. I just picked up a red stained NS2A that's pretty road worn but plays and sounds great and I want to refinish it in white. The body doesn't scare me nearly as much as the neck does. I want to avoid damaging the headstock or the fretboard in the process.

To paraphrase Groucho Marx, I wouldn't normally want to join a club that would have me as a member. However, I would like to join this one.

I've had this 2015/16 poplar burl Euro LX for a few years now. I had the guys at Mike Lull's swap the original Tonepump and Bartolinis with an EMG BTS pre and PJAX (alnico) pickups. It's strung with DR Pure Blues and is just amazingly versatile and full of character.

My NS-2A just finished at Sims after being there for more than a year. Can't wait to reassemble and hear it.

Yea, the quoted turnaround was 12-14 weeks. I have other basses, Spectors as well that I could play so it wasn't a problem waiting that long, but a year is still ridiculously long. At least it's flawless. I just received it and as nice as on the pictures he sent me.
well it turned out BEAUTIFUL! Congrats!! I have an NS2C that Id love to have done in that same color, but from what Ive read lately on TB, I will be looking at other companies for refinishing.

Thanks! Exactly, it was quite an experience to learn from. It's called roses red if you want the exact color.

That's insane. I would have pulled it out of there and said some profanity. There are plenty of people who can paint in this world.

Today I is a busy bloke.

Got an excellent price on an alder Rebop, which was much used & worn but functioning perfectly.
The body was a natural oiled finish which was worn & boring, so I set to work sanding it down & giving it
my treatment of stains & spraying a clear coat. The neck got my roasted look, stain & clear coat.
Fret crown & other detailing work. If any one is interested in a similar refurbish, Pm me, it's a labour of love.
Pics before & after.
