Did he quote you 14 weeks as well? At least it looks like he did a nice job on yours. Mine will have to get done right (by someone else). The guy is a crook.
Yea, I guess he always quotes the same. At least it turned out amazing but it's still outrageous. But it is what it is. Next step is getting real crown inlays on this and on a white 2AA, and later USA bridges (what I supposed to get before the paint job, but haven't had the idea then).

Quick pic from my front yard, just this minute, of the seemingly never ending Las Vegas, New Mexico major wild fire
that some of you may have seen or read of in the news.

Hopefully you aren't getting wind like the stuff I drove through outside of Gallup today. Stay safe.

Today I is a busy bloke.

Got an excellent price on an alder Rebop, which was much used & worn but functioning perfectly.
The body was a natural oiled finish which was worn & boring, so I set to work sanding it down & giving it
my treatment of stains & spraying a clear coat. The neck got my roasted look, stain & clear coat.
Fret crown & other detailing work. If any one is interested in a similar refurbish, Pm me, it's a labour of love.
Pics before & after.

Just an FYI: A US bridge has the standard .75" string spacing. NS2A's are only .70" spacing. A US (and Euro) bridge would probably need the grooves recut somehow to keep the strings on the neck. Not to mention the expanded route for size.

I saw this yesterday and I think it looks great, much better than the standard in my opinion. Do not forget to share the pic once you have put it all together.
Also, how long does it have to hang like this?

In other news, I think I made my mind up about the pickups in my euro.
The barts are cool and with the pedals I can get the growl out of them, but they're not EMGs...
So, @AudioTaper and I have been bouncing some ideas and I actually wanna swap out those barts for EMG Xs while keeping the darkglass custom preamp that the bass came with.

So, at first I thought it would be ok with buying a PJ set of the EMG Xs but @AudioTaper quickly pointed it out to me that the set comes with only one volume pot. So in order to keep my standard Vol Vol Treble Bass knobs I should instead opt for two separate sets, one EMG X P and another EMG X J. They each come with a volume pot and an entire wiring kit/harness. Should be doable, plus I got all you here to help me if I mess it up, right?

Riiiiiiiight, club?

EMG and darkgkass is a deadly combo. Deadly.

That doesn't match the order spec for the PJX set from EMG...
It should come with two volume pots and the VLPF (active tone) pot. You should be able to just drop it in behind your active Bass/Treble circuit. Plug and play.

That still doesnt help me since my euro has vol vol treble and bass, 4 knobs, not 3. Hence the separate P and J sets since they each come with 1 vol 1 tone each, 4 knobs total like in my euro :)

Why do you care about two tone knobs if you are keeping the Darkglass? If you want to go V/T V/T, you can just add another tone control to your order, or you can go with a BTS to get EMGs Bass and Treble control. Otherwise, just wire the two volume controls into the Darkglass module

You wont use the tone knob in the EMG kit, just the Volume pots. The volumes will go to the DG preamp (this is the same screenshot I PMd you the other day) and you should be able to reuse those cool knobs you bought.

The 'Output to Master Tone' will go to the DG input

The next hurdle is making sure the JX pickup in that set is the right length. I know you measured it at 91mm. Will follow up when I have a second...

@Katoosie The JX in the set linked in post #91054 is the long version (93.98mm) and you need the SJX (91.18mm)
I emailed EMG to ask if theres a set option with the SJX, or if they need to purchased separately. I also asked about if the SJX has different voicing since its listed as a 'Neck position' pickup. I'll post their reply in 1-2 business days

Today I is busy watching the Miami F1 Grand Prix.

I like to keep it hanging for at least 48 hours, minimum, to ensure it hardens thoroughly before
hand rubbing to a satin finish, then hand wax to get that soft satin shine, oooh tasty!!

Regarding your EMG mod, I could be wrong, but I think you may have to use the Active Balance control
in order to channel the battery power to the active pickups.

I have two volumes with no balance on my euro, and they work fine. 2 vol, bass, treble. Not sure if translates to this situation, but it is possible if the red power wire runs to each and to the battery.
