Just ordered some Gotoh GB350 tuners for my new-to-me Dimension because the stock tuners are really bad. I'm a bit upset about that, sure it's not a $5k bass, but it's not exactly $200 either. At least I'll shave off a bit of weight (not that it's heavy, but hey). The damn things don't keep it in tune, 2 are stiff and one you have to wind like 2 turns before even noticing a difference. Sheesh.

You'll be happy with those. The stock for me weren't awful (lucky I suppose), but these are a meaningful improvement to be sure.

You can tighten the stock ones with a screwdriver... it helps keep in tune.

I've been considering changing the hardware (bridge and tuners) on my purple Ethos to chrome and if I do that I'll probably get Hipshots, but I'm fine with stock for now.

All of my Spectors are Korean. Three of them had crunchy tuners. My Intastella Ethos had a good set on it, but the other three have Hipshot Ultralites so that Ethos got them too. I have a set of USA's and three sets of Licensed Ultralites. The only difference I can tell is that the USA's can be reassembled opposite of how they came. They feel the same, they work just as well.

Hey Todd,

Good to see you around here! Where you hanging your hat these days?
I'm chillin in my toyhauler gig rig in Central Texas with my K9 kids. Playing Rocksmith and Search n Rescue. 😎😎🤘🤘🐓🐓(struttin) HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I'm not usually a fan of Aguilar preamps but this OBP-3 sounds really good. I have to pull the pickups out and verify whether they're DCXs or something else. Either way, I may leave this one alone for a bit. Shocking, I know!

Love me some OBP3, much better than their others.

Dang

For what it's worth, I love the Aggie obp-3. You can't dime it, but it's a really nice pre.

I'm trying to slowly (but before tomorrow night) talk the wife into letting me use the GC deal to acquire a Rick Turner Renaissance 5 from their used inventory. I love hollow and semi hollow basses. It appears his are the best out there.

I was looking at this Spector, but you saved me, and it's in a great place. Top shelf wood grains selected, and with the maple board, icing on the cake. Ya done good
