LOL. Yea it's quite low. I like the clicking sound and buzz. Works for what I do. I beat the crap out of the strings too. But I can also control it and do the same stuff much softer and it sounds clean. It all depends on what I want to output.
Super low action helps with doing the funk too! :D

I'm the same as you. Love the super low action and buzzing sound. Works.aesome with a chorus and the pog2. Def one the distinct thing with my tone. Plus I tune one bass down to B and even though I have slightly floppy strings I can play it for hrs and rip on it. LOL

Are you guys referring to this kind of bass tone?

Yep, my BEAD might be floppy to some but I got used to it and like it.

Pretty close yes :) Damn that's nice! :D
I think I might start braiding my hair like that too :P

I own a white NS-2A and it's my baby. Will be cremated with it.
It's a very low serial number and loaded with real EMG's with the
Older preamp. I've loaned it out "under my supervision" for a few
Studio albums along with my bands Undecided, Klik and A a Deeper
Down. You can hear my Spector on iTunes search Klik and start with the whispers and lies cd. All maple solid neck thru body, with active pickups and a pre amp how can you go wrong.

It makes me cry that a Spector would die. :(

Sorry, but it will never be owned or loved by anyone but me or as much as me.
Nobody deserves this bass but myself, and it goes to the grave with me. It's already in my will and my family knows the deal. I saved this bass from a monkey who did not appreciate it back in 1988/89. He beat up,the upper part of the body pounding on it with his fist while wearing bracelets. I guess it was a 80's rocker thing. Has little dents in it. I call them douche bag dents.

I like to think that love, even if not at the same level as you could give, is still worth having. Basses are meant to be played, not buried or burned. I'll be passing mine on to my son. ;)

As much as I hate to see a Spector die, the symbolism of this is not lost on me. Like a native american funeral pyre when they put the warrior's weapons around him. I like that.

My bass doesn't quite sound like that. Well the Rebop has a warmer low end tone. Almost felt lesssounding. ns2k4 has that tone in somewhat but a Lil deeper and I use that one with my dual chorus for a huge crystal shimmery tonelike Simon for the Cure. The Euro with the hhad is a Lil closer but warmer. But it's very growly

Lol I love how my phone won't type Haz. It seems to be against it. But when I dig in on all 3 basses definitely get that Spector growl. Each bass just has its own flavor. Prolly somewhat to do with strings besides the action.. The blueberry has daddario Xls on it and obviously the other two have the neon drs. I actually a Lil higher on those two as I jumped between b tuning and regular 440. Action is set perfect at both tunings. One thing I love about Spector you can jump tuning on the fly and not lose much if any intonation. And if it's off a hair so be it.

Nice work as usual my man. Could your action BE any lower?! Jeez.

I know! How do you play like that!?

I have my Forte set pretty low too. I've noticed with my right hand technique, I pluck fairly close to the bridge. In the Steve Harris video, you can see the dude resting his thumb on the J pickup. I don't do that, but thats really far back there. I think that's how you get away with low action. I do "float" my right hand towards to neck a little for more of a p bass sound sometimes but I have to lighten up the touch to keep it from getting "clangy".

I've noticed when some guys play my Spector, they get a buzzing, clanging mess because it isn't set up for how THEY play. Thats one thing I'll be interested it seeing at the hang is how you guys setup your basses.
