That sounds fairly cool.
Question to the more experienced Spector players:
Whats the Ideal Bass/Amp setting to recieve this growl?
edit: Playing a Rebop 5 LX (with tonepump) through a GK Backline 600 (GK 4band EQ) with fingers (no Pick here!)

So I guess my question is, would having the bass and treble boost completely down on the Tone Pump sound identical to having the controls dead center and flat on a BQC? Just wondering if there's some sort of other "intangible" difference outside of the tone controls.
This is based on info from Spector.Flat on those (Tone Pump) is just a slight boost (about 10-15%).
Has anyone ever owned or played Rex model? I was wondering if they tend to be neck heavy?
ALERT!!!: (So no one blows a speaker trying this.)For those of you that are curious about this:
After discussing this in another thread, SirMike75 says he ran a Tone Pump at 18volts in a previous bass with no ill effects.
Curiosity got the best of me so I've wired mine up 18volts.
If it fries, it fries (disregard that puff of smoke and flaming man in the distance......).
So far....nothing, but it's still the first day.
Change in tone is minor, but I've also still got the passive EMG's in this bass.
Feel free to check in from time to time to see if I'm still alive.![]()
Now for some true Euro Import Eye-Candy...
LolIt wouldn't be worth it on this bass. The neck is a little funky. Will you install inlays if you like the decals?
Remember this guy?:I gave my NS2A a bit of a facelift. I bought a set of Crown Decals. Pretty cool. Lets see how long they last:

They've been on 2 or 3 months now and have shown no sign of lifting ...
Absolutely. Every gig (and most rehearsals). It's the bass I use when I need extended range either for 5 string songs or chording (I often play in a trio and it comes in real handy under the guitarist in ballads and such tunes like Europa. Especially coupled with the upper octave of my Micro Pog.).Yes, but have you played it?![]()
Now you tell me......I think the 12th fret looked cool with 3 crown.
