Spector Club Pt. 4 (Insert Clever Title Here)

I'm not aware of 34" scale being available as an option. Anybody? Yes? No?

Current Spector site only lists a 35" scale option on the 4 string Euro LX series (curiously not available on any USA's) at no charge
and a 30 3/8" scale option (Garry Talent version) on the USA bolt-on series for a $150 up charge.

Nothing for 34" 5 or 6 string anywhere.

Gotta find an old USA or NSCR for that.

But Ive been wondering lately what the Spector logo is? I just cant seem to figure out if it's something in particular, or if it's his initials or something.

Anybody know?

Actually, the "S" is obvious. I always thought it looked like the "S" laid over a (at least partial) treble clef sign....which I know, for us as bassists, is somewhat blasphemous.

I'm not sure if it's available as an option. Older NS5's (USA's and Chech's) were only available 34".

WOW. That's the best news I've heard in quite some time. That was my only objection (besides money, of course) that was going to prevent my extended range Spector ownership.

It looks like the Fretless has the standard 18V Haz Labpreamp on soapbar equipped US Basses.

So this is the Haz Pre? Installation looks pretty easy.

Why, why, why must you torture me with this picture. I've had GAS for a Spector USA bolt-on for quite awhile. Unfortunately, the funds just aren't there for one.

It's the three knob pre they put in the USA's. It's got all the clips so it must be EMG.

Hey Spector club, I've got a question for you.

Yesterday, while I should have been finishing up Christmas shopping , I popped into Guitar Center for awhile. In the used section I found a pretty beat up Spector Legend with a P/J setup. The neck had a bit more relief than I'd have liked but other than that it sounded and played nicely. My question is this, are the necks on these older Legend models of a good build quality? I don't really want to buy this bass and then have to get the neck repaired or replaced. Should this be a major concern or do you think with a bit of truss rod tweaking I could get it playing buttery smooth? Thanks for the help

The necks on early legends are just as good IMO as any of their other necks. Some tweaking should get it good as new.
