has anyone played this bass? if so... hows the tone, the weight, the neck and the versitility? im looking into this bass but i dont know if ill be able to find one to play, but hopefully i will.

I used to own one, and they are fine basses. To me, the tone was a lil' like "Spector Light" because of the J/J pickup config as opposed to the classic P/J Spector tone, still had the Spector tone though, just didnt seem as ballsy. The weight as I remember was fairly light, similiar to a ReBop, and the neck was thinner...more like a ReBop than a Euro...I really loved the neck.
If you're addicted to that classic P/J sound though, you might want to pick up a Euro 4 instead.

I traded my G&L for a white one a while ago. It is now my main bass. If you like the EMG sound, you will like this.
I owned one and wish I had it back. Very clean piano like tone, great playability, awesome shape, what's not to like?
