Spector Q4 Pro

I got Q4 a month ago, it is labelled without "pro", but I believe it is the same thing... Got it new for around 500e in bass swap, for cash it should be somewhat cheaper, specially because newer model Legend 4 is around 500e.
I like it a lot, body is basswood so less sustain, but it also means it is lighter for your back. Ergonomics is very good, nice neck, but there is just a little bit of neck dive.
Sound is very versatile, lower frequencies are clear. General sound is very good, a bit more in treble - but that's easy fix with your preamp. Great usability for all kinds of music, a good universal bass guitar.

Pretty comfortable profile on the neck. Think a "better" J-bass design and a rounder but not chunky radius.
Also, the tone is excellent on the Q-series basses and will definitely fit for "hard rock", no question.

Exactly, neck has just a little bit more meat than jazz bass neck.
Of course - personal tastes differ, but I think Q4 ergonomics are best part of it, very useful when playing long gigs (i.e. 5+ hours).
