hey guys need some info i have tone pump with emg hz's get that buzz its not consistence only some times I've copper sheilded every thing and connected with ground wires from cavity to cavity .. i really like the tone I'm getting and want to keep it stock if at all possible. is there a issue with that system or is this rare.. i really like the bass it plays like a charm for a 5 string great neck great fret board great sound .. just getting that passive buss from time to time .. any help would be great thanks in advanced.... Jon

the pumps run hot from the factory, if you have a trim pot turn it down a bit. they come set at about "9" most of us run them at about "4". if it's not a trim pot version, you might want to swap it for one. the non trim pot pumps can be so hot they get hiss when the treb is boosted. check the wiring around the jack and pots, resolder if necessary. sometimes the ground to the jack gets frayed and gets loose.

you don't need to shield everything with that setup, they should be noiseless without it.

on another note, swapping the hz's for emg DC's in that bass is a killer setup, if your into modding.
