Spector Rebop problems

I own a Spector Rebop 5, and the other day my jack broke for the second time in less then 7 months. I guess you would call this type of jack a barrel jack, does anybody else have any experience with these, or similar stories?

How do you mean, broke?

By broken I mean that the jack will not transmit the sound into my amp. and I'm just wondering is this just going to keep happening, or am I just unlucky with my last two jacks.

I had a problem with mine for a while, and I replaced it, and it works great now.

Can you pop the cavity cover off and verify good soldering? Lots of hacks will blow on repaired joints to cool them quickly, creating a cold joint.

That, or maybe one of the wires has come clean off.
