SPECTOR rebop zebrano

hey...I want in here...I just bought a ZEBRANO-4 too! Must be something in the water! Got it off of Ebay....Ian, it looks suspiciously just like yours... LOL:eek:

Close but no cigar (but very nice top anyway! :D )... mine's in my "rack" right next to me (after some FedEx issues, she finally came in on Saturday!) but I personally like the newer ones coming out from Spector with "darker/more defined" tops as opposed to the somewhat bland initial ones I'd seen. That's why I wasn't going for this series until later in the run.

I'm lovin' this bass a ton, but I've found one downside, at least with mine. With every other bass I've owned I've been able to swap out the stap pegs for Dunlop StrapLoks with their standard screws straight in with no drilling or other modifications. However, the Zebrawood top is so dense I'm having one mofo of a time getting the butt-end Lok screwed all the way in - I've still got a bit over 1/8" and the head in entirely stripped. I'm going to give it another try or two to get it in, and if that doesn't work see if I can back it out, grab a new screw, and start again with 7/8ths one. :mad: :help:
