Hey everyone,
I upgraded one of my Spector Legend Classics to the Spector USA 9v Tone Circuit (same as the ones used in the USA NS-2s). The output of this preamp is so hot, it is clipping my Ampeg SVT-3's preamp with the gain only on 3! I know the TonePump circuit has an internal trimpot to adjust the output gain of the preamp, but I don't see one on the USA 9v circuit. Am I missing it, or is there really no trimpot on the USA circuit? If there's no trimpot, should I just throw, say, an E-H Signal Pad pedal in my signal chain and use that to control the output gain from the bass?
Thanks,
-=T=-

Nah, But I would happily trade you for my Tone Pump with trim pot. That way you could at least adjust the gain.:hiding:

Seriously though, I thought I heard the USA 9V was not as hot as the Tone Pump though. Do you have the pad engaged at the amp input?
