spector?

Ok I just got my settlement back from an auto accident and Im in the market for a new 5 string bass and spectors seem awesome to me so I dont want to spend much more then 800 if less groovy but I was thinking about a legend 5 custom or classic

and well are they as good as I remember? lol or what else would be comparable?
 
Ok some information about me I play through a peavey tube head mesa 4x10 I play rock blues jazz and I like a deep bass sound with alot of clarity Active/ passive would help so what about these? Oh and I would like to stay under $1000 and be new.

How about this beauty, which is for sale. It's a euro lx5, which is a step up from the bass that you are looking at. Its for sale, and you can find the ad in classifieds. I am looking to get around $1000 for it...

The bass has a very aggressive mid-scooped sound, great for slapping, but can also be configured for great fingerstyle playing. Of course, as with all spectors, half the appeal is the bass' looks.
