Speeding up net connection...

Yeah, actually I do..

I'm getting a TCP/IP one - "TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP/IP connect attempts."

A Dhcp one - "Your computer has automatically configured the IP address of the network card with the network address XXXXXXXXXXXX. The IP address being used is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX.

And an occasional Server one - "The server could not bind to the transport\Device\NetBT_Tcpip_(buncha words letter strung together)"

There are a few other random ones, but nothing that might be related to a net issue.

That last one about binding TCP/IP could be trouble. You may want to try to Link Removed. I've never done this on XP, but have uninstalled and reinstalled it on older windows versions with success.
Is the DHCP message an error (with a red x) or is it just an event?

I just did some google searching on that last error. Does it end with "because another computer on the network has the same name"? If it does you'll need to change the name of one of your PCs. Each PC on the network must have a unique name.

Nope. I quoted it just like it read, minus the long string of numbers.

It is an error, not an event. I will try later to reinstall TCP/IP.
