My wife has been a Speed Racer addict for a long time, so naturally I was coerced into seeing this movie.
We saw it on IMAX in Atlanta. We sat in the 3rd row. My head still kind of hurts.
Basically, the racing scenes were completely ridiculous, and not in a good way. On IMAX, too close to the screen, it was completely unintelligible. One of the races put me to sleep. My wife work me up when my snoring got too loud.
The rest of the movie was OK. Tolerable. Not really funny or clever or disturbing or anything. It wasn't BAD.
But the ******** racing scenes totally ruined it for me. Probably because I enjoy actual racing, and I have above a 3rd grade level of understanding of science.
