Spinal Tap II: The End Continues - (Official Trailer)

Can't wait!!

I remember when the first movie came out I watched it on home video a year or two later - I had just started playing drums and my musician friends and I watched it, not quite sure if it was real or not… keep in mind I was probably 13….
Same.

And after that Vid. A friend played an Ozzy live show that was almost the same, only 'serious'
I couldn't work out if the Ozzy one was a parody also🤣

Goes to show just how good the original SPINAL TAP was

There aren't any movie theaters around where I live so I'll have to wait for it to come out on DVD. Spinal Tap is one of my favorite comedy movies ever! I know some well known musicians that DID NOT LIKE Spinal Tap...too close to the truth I guess...

At the age those guys are now at in ST, they're going to disappoint a lot of groupies :roflmao:

It's very rare for me to laugh out loud at a movie trailer, but I just did for this one ("That's thinking outside the box... Literally!"). I'm looking forward to seeing this. I saw the original Spinal Tap film in the theater just after I had come off the road with a heavy metal band in the 80's. It was way too close to home. Seen it many times since.

Same. The first time I watched it (on VHS), I didn't know anything about it, so I thought it was a real band. Partway into it, I thought, "These guys are morons." Then I recognized Michael McKean and realized it was a spoof. So I rewound it and watched it to the end, laughing the all the way through.

I moved to the West as a teenager in the late 80s, read an interview with them in a music magazine around the time of the release of "Break Like The Wind", and also had that "these guys are morons" reaction. It literally took me years to find out they're a spoof and I probably didn't see the movie until like 2010.

I saw the movie right when it came out and thought it was hysterical. I was playing in two bands at the time and it was pretty close to my experience. Also at that time I had a girlfriend who was a Radio DJ who called me shortly afterwards and told me that Spinal Tap was playing at CBGB's for a private show. She got me a ticket and I was able to actually see the band play. The actors really are musicians and they played great - it was a really fun night even if I didn't recognize Christopher guest when he got out of the taxi cab since he didn't have his wig on.

I'm an absolute fan of the original movie so I'm hoping Nigel has a joke that his amps go to 12 now. I really wish they'd have done this movie years, even decades ago because they're just sooooo old now, kinda makes me sad really. Better late than never? We'll see.

It's stone'enge mate
18" stone'enge!

Edit: They did a widely publicized competition for an art piece for our newly redesigned "courthouse square," a large public gathering place downtown. It was a while before I saw it installed. When I saw it I burst out laughing -- it was half the size I'd expected. My husband asked why I was laughing so hard and I said, "Stonehenge." He immediately got it, but was a little upset because he thought it was really cool. I laugh every time I go by. I can't help it.

I was walking past the Paramount theater in Seattle on a night that Spinal Tap was in town and their giant demon head with horns was out on the street out front waiting to be loaded in. It was an impressive sight, unlike the Stonehenge set would've been.
