Spinal Tap?

I hate to divert attention, but I've got a trivia bit I need answered, along the lines of good R&R movies: What's the name of the film that came out in the mid-'90s that was about an over-the-hill British metal band that was called out of retirement to do a tour (and I think it was all set in the U.K., IIRC)? The lead singer was a total mess, but it was a comedy, with a lot of historical (and hysterical) band stereotypes, just not as "Christopher Guest" as Spinal Tap. I know that you know -- c'mon!

Was it something like " Bad News" - I have never seen it but heard great things

"Welcome to (Edwards) Air Force Base, and I just wanted to say what a treat it is to have you guys here; We're all such big fans and we have all of your records.....well not YOUR records, but of the whole rock and roll genre...I have one request. Could you play a couple of slow numbers, so I can dance?"

The movie is actually called (the comic strip presents)... "More Bad News" Features 2 of the guys from the British show Bottom, + French and Saunders. This is the 2nd part, the first, actually pre-dates Spinal Tap and goes along the same lines. You can pick up the more Bad News cd (ebay?) which is hilarious! Just about every track someone is quitting the band etc. I would definately recomend to watch/listen. The movie is a bit harder to locate but a must for anybody that has been in a band.

"It's in Dubly"
