Split Coil Jazz Bass Opinions appreciated

I've only used the Fralin splits and I think they sound great compared to the stock Fender pups (MIM Jazz). +5% overwind so a bit more "dark" but great for fingerstyle with the brighter EB Cobalt flats. I'm curious about the SD Apollos as well but probably won't be switching anytime soon. Time for another bass? .... <he looks askance at the wife and contemplates another purchase> ....

I've been using the Fralin split coil, standard wind, J pickups for about 1-1/2. If I didn't like them I wouldn't still be using them.

@Grinderman I've been thinking of snagging a set of fralin jazz (standard wound, raised centers) for the 60s jazz, but debating about going split. what's your take on the split jazz vs single coils? what wind did you go with? would love to hear more, or sound samples!
