True, but just the fact that you're sponsored tends to add a bit of legitimacy to the band. Or at least it used to.

Well, the banners usually DO have the band name on it.
The bud lite/coors lite/miller lite girls show up at certain shows to promote, & hand out stuff.
Always best to push that fact when it's scheduled.

We did a gig that was sponsored by Molsons and Crown Royal. It was ok as we got lots of free trinkets, shirts, banners, etc. to hand out and obviously free booze.

They actually sent spies and if they saw any other beer or rye whiskey being poured, they would have pulled their free booze as per our contract.

It would have been better if they gave us cash, but we are nobodies in their marketing world.
