Spot the difference in SX jazz bass

OP = Original Poster. That's you, xtunix.

Everyone's in a tizzy because rondo stopped selling SX SJB basses with the old, Fender-ish headstocks a couple years ago and replaced them with the new "Ursa" basses, because Fender sues anyone who sells basses in the US that have the same headstock style. So folks who didn't notice that you're not in the US are wondering how you managed to order one.

alrite got to agree with you. The restrictions over here aint that tight. I actually got frens at US telling me that they would like to order their bass from m'sia which actually makes me wonder why. then i get it why. The copy right agreement is inevitable.

I thought they both were ash, but looking at them side by side, I'm not so sure.

The 5 string (which is Ash for sure) I bought in April 2007, and I got the 4 string (which was bought as an Ursa) wasbought in August 2010.
