Squier 50s Precision bridge cover

Like this:::

This vintage-style cover is covering the VM-Jag/VM-CV/VM-Jazz/VM-P/Squier J & P/ Fender J & P bridges.

All the angled steel stock bridges are pretty much the same, even those with threaded and unthreaded barrels, 4 screw, five screw and even many - if not most - four-corner screw bridges.

There can be exceptions to this rule.

All except the HM bridges which shouldn't be on a bass anyway.

Don't go any further with my last statement.

The Squier HM bridge is still a lightweight compared to others; only the tail is noticeably thicker. But I feel the same Joe. After my first four hours with my new 50's blonde, I am convinced all that sustain I am getting is from the extremely light body wood, which seems to be pine by most accounts. Dammit I love my new CV! Ooops OT :hiding:

So do I need to worry about my thumb, at times, resting on the coverless pup and pooching the coil? I like the looks of the covers but I move all over when I play and don't want the obstruction. If so is there any plastic cover that may fit over the pup? Maybe I'm over-thinking since this has been done by many Tele players for decades?
