Squier Affinity P Bass 2000?

Pretty sure the quality back then wasn't very good.
Is it more of a bargain than one of the new Affinity basses?
They still can be hit or miss.
Other than that, try it out. If you know someone who can check it out for you, that will help.

Crap shoot. The necks/frets can be sublime or awful, the electronics vary less but are nothing to write home about, especially the tone control. That being said they are easily updated.
I learned to play bass on a late '90s or early '00s Affinity Jazz Bass. It was awful, but in hindsight I think it probably just needed a good setup.
