Squier Classic Vibe Jazz Bass Pickguard

Anyone try replacing the pickguard on their Squier Classic Vibe Jazz? Just wondering which pickguard brand would be the best fit.

I've thought about it but not done it yet. I read somewhere on here that the 62 RI pickguards fit, but I'm not certain if that's true or not.

Thanks. I guess I could try one, and return it if it didn't fit.

Most places will make you one if you send in a tracing, or even the original pickguard. That way you could be sure it would fit.

I haven't tried it for this bass but thinking about ordering one for another bass I have.

I have a 62 RI pickguard on my CVJazz. And when I held the 62 pickguard up to my vintage modified it looks like it will go there too.

I have to tweak the pickguard a very little bit, but for the most part it lined up almost perfect and I had no holes to reposition on the bass. I will add the one for the screw in the center of the pickguard though...

I applied an aftermarket Fender Std. Jazz Bass pickguard (found in MIMs) to a CV Jazz and it lined up just fine.

i have a squier james johnston sig wich is just a lpb cv but with a mint green pg, so i want a white pearloid, where can i get one and what will fit best as i know unless sending the pickguard or EXTREMELY accurate tracing, wich will fit better a USA pg or a mex?

I put a stock J pg on and it was fine. (Black pearl). The only drag was that it had a cutaway for the trussrod but that's at the head on a CV.

Both fit perfectly.

There is an ugly rout under the pickguard, so, no you cannot keep the pickguard off.

Yes, this bass is way (IMHO) better than the VM Jazz Bass.
