Definitely not an MM sound, the aperture is narrower. It looks like it's an EMG 35 housing.

Fiesta Red and tort? Eww, not for me. The lousy (IMO) color choices is why I never took the plunge on a CV bass.
I'm REALLY curious about the HB Jag. I may just pull the trigger on it and have it shipped when they become available.

I am GASing for that Oly/rosewood VM P myself. Going to have to do something about that this spring/summer.

I'll second this fact. I tried to remove one thinking it was painted on. They are real block inlays. (I didn't do any harm to the neck, if you're wondering!)
Yes, Fender's off-shore component is making harder and harder to buy their US products, though I with increased demand, I'd expect to see prices go up even further. Way to go, Fender.

I may get one just cause it'll be a super hot bass, but in the pbass pos it would have killed.
Looks to me like a perfect bass for modding. Adding a P bass pickup in front of the MM-looking one would be cool.

I'm thinking that there must be royalties or something that you have to pay to MM for that pup spacing. I mean, I'm just curious, unless its a full blown MM copy, NOBODY puts their humbucker there.
Zon, Pedulla, Valenti, Aria, Warrior, Fender(Big Block P), Warmoth and Ibanez all do, offhand, so I doubt it's that.
