Squier fretless

What is the Squier fretless fingerboard made from?
Anyone know about durability?

Do not remember the exact name for it, but the fretless basses fingerboards are made of the same material that bowling balls are made from. Probably very tough.

Ebonol. Unless you're talking about the new ones with Indian Laurel.

don't know about those particular axes but ebonol is about as durable as it gets.

actual fingerboard wear = not a thing.
fear of fingerboard wear = contagious on TB

It was the newest models out now I am referring to .
Seems to be a glossy plastic like coating on it.
I like the way it feels & sounds.

It isn't a coating, that is the ebonol. It is multiple layers of resin, basically plastic. I don't think Squier uses wood on any of their fretless basses.

Is that similar to the feel I've heard about with applying epoxy or super glue to the fingerboard?

I got my VM fretless yesterday, yeah the board is Ebonol - as stated above I think it's some sort of plastic. It plays really well - it's very slick and it looks like it's going to be very hardwearing. I'm new to fretless and I'm loving mine!

The new CV '60s JBs' have the Indian Laurel (sp) boards.
