Squier Jaguar Short Scale Club Part 2

I just got off the phone with Larry at AERO. He said that it is difficult to improve upon the overall sound of a bass by just changing the pickups, as the sound of it is mainly determined by its acoustic signature.

Unfortunately, I have always found the Jag to be lacking as much acoustically as when it is amplified.

On the other hand, I love the sound and feel of the Pawn Shop Mustang!

Not sure why that is, but if you do a search for: Squier Jaguar, it is the first thing that comes up. I've given up trying to cipher why Facebook works the way it does. Sometimes I think their programmers have too.

Exactly where I find it to be at its weakest.

I find the same "weakness" in P basses. I always have to bump up the lows and low mids (and sometimes cut the highs a bit) to get the tone I want, so it's not surprising to me that any bass equipped with a P bass pickup would require me to make similar adjustments.
