I've wanted to get a black body for a while now. If i get this I'll use the best bits from each bass on the black body and then sell the red one to my daughter's friend who was interested in getting a short Jag. He'll (hopefully) get a bargain and I'll get to make my whole bass collection all black.

Chet Atkins said he never made a dime past five. Meaning all his hits rarely ventured past the fifth fret.
Found a used 2014 black one at GC for $140 and grabbed it. Sounds great and I want to get a few short scales again.

They go really fast though -- you gotta hop right on them.
New pups is a popular upgrade, or there's the "magnet mod," or you can just go mad, like me, and end up with the loom, neck, and body being the only remaining stock parts. I've even added something that wasn't on the original, an ashtray.

That's the one that's almost certainly a mislabeled long scale version. Too many control knobs for one thing.

This guy is adding the taxes he paid for the bass, and even the flats most people won't want, into the price? He's clearly new to CL. That will be there for awhile. A bass can still be used with plastic on the tuners and pickguard. I'd offer him $200 maybe.

Okay there is still a legit candy apple red at eBay. Auction ends in 14 minutes. It's at $159.13 plus $94 shipping (grrrrr....) but still not...awful...if anyone is interested.
Thats crazy but there is usually a rush right after a model gets discontinued though. Strange because the Jag has been around since 2011 and they sold a ton, not like it was a short limited run. I like it though because this almost assures that there will be a new SS Squier for 2020, Im betting on another Mustang. Im hoping they do a CV 70s Mustang with the body contours and racing stripes! The one model thats been missing from the US market for a long time.

Yes, it's just like mine except mine is heavily modified (I painted the head of the screws on the pick guard black).
