As soon as I see that neon green text in German, i bail. They are 2x the price of everyone else almost religiously. My 1974 P cost less than this bass.

A bass player neighbour of mine has two of them in fantastic condition. No, he won't sell them. even though he doesn't get out to play much anymore. They're very good basses-much better than anything Fender was making at that time.

I had no idea anyone would try to charge that much for one though. They aren't that good.

im pickin up a 77 fender jazz for R12000. converted to USD its $1200. dont think the dude knows what he is selling.

Buyer beware right. He throws those prices up because (obviously) every once in a while he finds a sucker. That's a pretty bad example tho....

TBH, its not just a bass here and there he throws up with an off the wall price. Nearly ( perhaps all ) of his stock, and there's always loads of it, is overpriced by some margin.

His ebay listing fees per month could fund the national debt. Its hard to see how keeps his business running
