Squier MusicMaster Vista Club

IMO the Vista Tone is a big improvement over the Stratocaster pickup shipped with the old US Musicmasters. BTW, that "surf green" started out as daphne blue. Almost every one I've seen has turned that color, though. Interesting how one Fender custom color fades into another.

It is fantastic, tones for days and easy to play. It'll be worth the wait if you order from them

It looks like I may have a chance to restore my Vista Musicmaster to its former glory. For those who do not recall, mine was originally black and a previous owner stripped the paint off the body. The pickup also died on me and has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan.
I bought a custom made walnut Telecaster guitar from a local luthier a while back he has asked me if I'd be interested in selling it back to him. We're working out a repaint and pickup rewind on my MusicMaster as a potential partial trade. I'd just have to decide on color... stock or something funky. I may go with a different project as my Musicmaster plays fine as is, but it's one of the things I am considering.

Such a great bass, my inclination is always color. My Squier MM is candy apple red, still has the original black headstock.

So that's my vote, color. Maybe something with a black stripe if you want to keep a theme with the headstock.

Not a bright color but white with black stripes in the theme of the old Competition Mustangs? Just off the top of my head.

Anything other that black, natural, or brown sunburst would be cool. :thumbsup:

Yeah I absolutely love the color of yours! That's what I was originally thinking and it would definitely work with the headstock. Particularly if I put a black pickguard on it.

Shell pink body and head stock, darkened /stained/ fret board, vintage tint neck, perhaps?
Oh, and parchment / cream pick guard.
