Squier "Silver Series" Jazz Bass MIJ '62 Reissue

Hey peeps. I've done a little research on this bass and figured out when and where it was made, but I can't find a good pulse on it's current value. I found two on Reverb for $350 and $450. Some dude is selling his for $500 where I live and that seems really high.
Is Ebay and Reverb the best places to find the current value for gear? If not, where do you go to make sure you're paying the current market value for stuff??
So far, all the MIJ basses I have are gold. And I'm wondering if the same thing could be true for the Squier?

I'm following one from a seller on a website. In europe (italy) the guy is asking €450 (it's been lowered from 500). I know that japanese Squiers are sold at 1300/1500. I don't know so much about these early 90's Silver Series. Hope it helps (even if it's almost 2 years after your post).
