Squier Vintage Modified... What is That?

A friend put together a bass for me, it's a Korean Squier-II Maple neck with an Agathis Vintage Modified body. They fit together like a hand and a good driving glove, Alnico V PJ pups, killswitch in the pop-up tone pot (vvt). Nice bass, like it a lot.
But what is meant by "Vintage Modified", exactly?

Vintage Modified is a line of Squier guitars and basses.
The intent of the name, if I recall correctly, is that the instruments are vintage inspired in terms of look, but have modern and modified aspects (modern neck radius or Duncan designed pickups for example) they sit between the Affinity and Classic Vine lines.

I'm digging it. I like the neck a lot, which is a Squier-II. What's that era/edition of Squier about?
