Squier VM 70's Jazz Block Inlays

Just thought I'd pass on some info... On mine I originally thought they were painted on but after an extremely close inspection last night while installing a BADASS II bridge, I found that they were extremely well inlaid!!! I found that around one block I think it was the 5th fret, between the maple fretboard and the black inlay there was a tiny bubble in the clear glue.
Could be just mine, maybe others are painted? I think this is the same thing that was happening with the Geddy Lee Jazzes. Anyone else have any similar experiences? I've had mine since January of '07

Mine appears to have inlaid blocks. If I look really closely at the edge of the blocks, on some I can spot some maple colored filler to cover up the oversized hole slop. Mind you, the inlay work is well done enough that the slop is almost non-existant. But if you look really close, it's there. I doubt this would be seen with painted-on blocks.
