Squier VM jaguar bass (34") and Std. B/Drop A tunning

Hi, im looking for a new bass to take a little step up from my SGR C-4, and already fell in love with Squier Jaguar one. The question is - does anyone has loaded it with heavy strings like 135-65 or something to tune it for BEAD or AEAD? I prefer 4 string tuned like that instead of getting 5 string, but i only want to know if this particular bass "work" and "sound" tuned down. I play post hardcore/metalcore
