Squier VM Jazz

I already own a VM J, and i love it. I can pick up another one for $200, haven't seen it yet, so obviously that could be a deal breaker. So should i go for it? Thinking keep the one stock and mod out the other. Was thinking about getting an SX for modding, but for essentially the same price (after shipping) the Squier is probably the better way to go. Just seems silly having 2 of the same bass. I guess it would be a great way of ABing different mods...

i'd do it if i could. I love my VM J (and my fretless VM J for that matter), and I feel a bit guilty modding it...but that isn't going to stop me...;)

Why not mod the one you already have? Make a great bass even better! A few ones I did to mine was a set of Dimarzio Model J's (SUCH a good set for that bass) and a chrome pickup cover on the neck pickup. The next one will be getting that dang squier logo off the bass lol.

$100 seems like a decent deal on a used bass, but nothing to write home about. I'd say get the Squier though because the neck on it will be more comfy than the SX one will be. You can mod your two J's in different ways! Make one for slap and one for fingerstyle :bassist:
