squire bass with fender neck?

hey im a lefty bassplayer that recently just joined a thin lizzy tribute act as bassplayer/vocalist.

my main bass is a yamaha trb 5L but for this type of band i i feel i really need that prescision sound.

i've been thinking of assembling a bass like phil lynotts. i cant really afford a full blown american standard p bass... so i've been thinking of modding the black squire p bass special (which has a jazz neck... weird i know) by putting a fender neck on it. are the sizes of the necks the same? and if it's possible- where would i find a lefty fender neck?

if i can get the neck, new pickups and a mirror scratch plate will be next on order :)

Do you feel like you need the actual Fender logo on the headstock?

I fear trying to get a real lefty Fender P neck for a budget price will be frustrating. And the aftermarket ones work fine. Put a decal on if you want that look, imo.
