I have this bass and the strings have started sounding super stale, can anyone advise me on what strings I need to replace them?

I use D'darrios on mine. Have for years. And FYI, this model has been discontinued.

You've never heard of James Jamerson? He is only one of the most famous bass players of all time. Listen to some of the old Motown stuff like the Supremes, Smokey Robinson, etc and pay attention to the bass lines. You will be amazed.

I have never heard of this guy but it's a nice looking bass. I am not sure what the differences are between a Classic Vibe and this are.

It is a Classic Vibe.
They don't make them anymore.
They used to be the exact same price as the Classic Vibe in Inca Silver.
Some people think the used ones are worth $100 to $200 more than when they were new...two on ebay right now for $900 plus from Japan.
The Inca Silver can still be found for a better price...$600 plus from Japan but in the $300 area here.

And I like my VM more than the CV I learned to play on…much better.
