Awhile back I picked up a VM Jazz from Mr. Nice Guy....He really is a Nice guy after playing it I decided to do a little modding, it came to me with an Audre installed...I had a SD MM Bassline installed, and a SD Antiquity II put in the neck, a Gotoh bridge, a Batt box, and it is now strung BEAD this thing really Thumps...one issue I have is I do not like the sound of the B, it is a little sloppy...I have read that tapered strings will work better, any suggestions on some strings to use? I have DR Low Riders on at the moment.....I will be posting a pic as soon as I can re-size it, it would not load:scowl:

Thanks, I measured from the back of the bridge to the back of the pup is 3-1/4" so I am not exactly sure if that is the sweet spot or not,but it sounds pretty sweet to me

I just tweaked the truss on my Squier VM fretless to raise the action and stop it buzzing...it just sounds and plays incredible now! With the action raised, it really nails that "Jaco" tone!
