Stackable Pedalboards?

I recently built myself a pedalboard, and whilst I am happy with the outcome, there are a few issues that I planned incorrectly.

As I am due to become a father again in a few months, I had to convert my music room back into it's intended purpose as a bedroom. This means I have had to relocate to the living room, which has obviously cut down on my available space.

The pedalboard that I built is around 10cm (4") too wide for the space I intended it to live in (under the desk) and to make it smaller would be much more work than to build another one. Also, it is quite a beast and weighs more than my Rumble Combo!

So, I am looking at alternatives and am thinking about going for a much smaller foot print, with modular boards, that can stack on top of each other when not in use.

I am open to other ideas of how to store pedals in the minimus space possible when not in use.

I am thinking about 3 or 4 small boards. 1 of them would be for the looping stuff and control (effect loop switches etc.), another would be deidcated to bass (Zoom B3, expression pedal and a couple of other pedals), another to uke and piccolo (G1on at present with a couple of other pedals) and finally one with distortion and other effects.

So I am thinking 4 boards that are slightly larger than a Pedaltrain Nano (to give you an idea).

Any suggestions or pics for inspiration?
