Stage 81: S/D thread

I was waiting for the new thread to ask my question but to hell with it: I recently purchased a SansAmp Bass Driver DI to add a little something to my pedal board and I realized that when playing single notes, it really enhanced the sound and made the spectrum sound richer, but when playing drone notes (e.g. letting the 3rd string ring while playing something on the 2nd string), it really cut dry the resonance of both notes at the same time. In other words, while doing some drone riffs, it sounded dull, as though both notes weren't playing at the same time, one had to cover up the other one.

Do you guys have any experience with this pedal and have any of you experienced this same problem? Don't really know if it's more about my settings than about the pedal. Halp!

I'm not a big fan of the sans amp bddi. I think the sans amp para driver is better. I never liked how chords or drones sounded. I think. Been a while since I've used mine.

Imo the Aguilar tone hammer is better than both.

Alright, thanks man. I'm just using it to create a round boosted signal, and it does work very well when playing single notes. But yep, I'll have to work my way around it if I want my cosmic drone sound back.

I don't want to overdrive the signal, just make it thicker, that's all. The problem is that when I drone, the pedal makes one note dominate the other. All notes must be equally saint if we want to build stoner doom into an act of devotion to the riff.
